My son built a house in Berwick in 1998. The land has quite a fall with the sub-floor area at one end being 2.1 meters above ground level.

The entrance, kitchen, dining and family rooms are all covered with ceramic tiles. During winter 1998, it was noted to be very cold underfoot, necessitating the wearing of slippers and having small children, this is not always easy.

We installed the foil batts, which I would estimate increased the floor temperature by approximately 4 degrees, making the area much more comfortable and livable.
